If this sounds like a page off your resume match your background to the requirements below: SUMMARY: The purpose of this job is to satisfy customer requirements by through productivity and process improvements, leading the production team to meeting customer, company and ISO 9001:2008 & ISO/TS 16949:2009 standards. MUST HAVES TO BE CONSIDERED: Automotive Manufacturing experience Engine Assembly experience (preferably diesel). Transmission experience will be considered Big Plant experience Launch Experience ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Support, develop and drive the company's strategic objectives Continuously monitor jobs standards to assure efficient performance and reduce negative cost variances. Maintain a housekeeping schedule to ensure both inside and outside of the facility is safe, clean and orderly. Assist supervisors, when necessary, to resolve worker complaints or submit unsettled complaints to the Managing Director. Promptly notifies the Managing Director and Logistics Director of any impending crises such as: past-due shipments, serious work injuries, non-functioning machines, etc. Analyzes division or department budget requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made, and allocates operating budget. Promote continuous improvement in manufacturing process and its employees Plan and coordinate efficient use of employees, materials and machines Responsible for product quality, production output, scrap and rework and inventory control to maximize operational efficiency Maintain a safe work environment Analyze division or department budget requests to identify areas in which cost savings can be attained Prepare and direct initiatives to outline policies, program and operational changes Supervise the logistics of the manufacturing process to increase performance and profitability ncrease productivity and service levels, optimizing personnel and equipment utilization, process improvement, organizational effectiveness and improving employee and supervisory skills Manage efforts of the front line supervisors to ensure that goals and objectives are met through annualized savings Determine the root causes of company issues including operational efficiencies, material utilization, labor costs, and implement permanent solutions SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervise employees in the Production Department and Production Supervisors. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Communication, computer and organizational skills required. Leadership, judgment and interpersonal skills are required. Ability to be a change agent. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 5-7 years related experience in an automotive manufacturing environment and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience and/or approval of Director of Operations. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers as well as the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. REASONING ABILITY: Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
