| Assistant Quality Control Manager VA Open (J#54286) Title: Assistant Quality Control Manager Company: Adecco Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Responsible for directing and supervising a group of quality control inspectors / technicians involved in inspection and quality control procedures with regard to purchased material, in-process material and finished products to assure that quality control standards are achieved. - Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. - Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems. - Maintain discipline, morale and harmonious relations among subordinates. Effectively recommend as to hiring, promotions, wage adjustments and terminations - Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, as required. - Analyze facts or circumstances surrounding individual problems to determine what action should be taken within the limits of standard practices. - Suggests and implements changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase safety and efficiency of QA Department and / or lab techs. - Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility. Maintain the Material Review Area to ensure that all products are distributed in a timely manner. - Assist the Quality manger in maintaining the QA Lab and the calibration requirements for all lab equipment. - Investigate and determine cause of faulty work and consult and advise production supervisors as to corrective measures. - Assists the Quality / Process Engineer in developing and maintaining the ISO 9001 procedures and work instructions. Skills and Abilities Required: - Knowledge of Inspection and Quality Control methods, techniques and equipment. - Knowledge of use of a wide variety of measuring instruments and complicated drawings. - Excellent written / verbal communication skills. - Must get along well with people. Computer Equipment and Software Requirements: - Must be proficient in using a PC to perform tasks with Excel, Word, statistical software and the company business system as required. 1. design manufacturing processes or methods 2. evaluate manufacturing or processing systems 3. follow manufacturing methods or techniques 4. monitor assembly quality 5. monitor the quantity of assembly output 6. read manufacturing outlines for electronic products 7. test manufactured products or materials - BS degree preferred. An associate s degree and / or sufficient work experience will be considered. - Minimum of 2 years QA lab supervisory experience in a gravure printing operation required. - A minimum of 3-5 years experience in Quality Control in a gravure printing operation preferred.
