| Applications Engineer WV Open (J#55352) Title: Applications Engineer Company: Planar Systems Job Summary: The Applications Engineer will be responsible for effectively partnering internally with Sales, Engineering and Supply Chain to assist our customers with the development of industry leading custom display and display/microprocessor based system solutions. Externally, the Applications Engineer acts as the primary technical contact to customers for pre- and post-sales technical support including interacting directly with customers engineering teams to drive technical discussions to create "design wins" that lead to sales in two ways: 1) Drives technical presentations and discussions with customers on our digital signage display platforms and components. 2) Organizes and assists collaborative teams comprised of both customer and internal product development organizations to create new non-standard products that emphasize cost, schedule, and performance advantages in targeted marketplaces including medical, industrial, and transportation.
