At any given point in time, SHC reflects approximately $8 billion on the Balance Sheet in Inventory (cost). The management of this inventory is a critical component of the SHC Supply Chain. Inventory Management encompasses all information flow, physical flow and financial flow between the vendor, store and end-customer. The Inventory Management model of SHC is comprised of Plan, Buy, Make, Move and Sell. - The Need. Consistent with the Inventory Management model described above, a need exists to ensure that the organization has the appropriate systems and processes to manage product through the life cycle of an item. On going analysis, review, and improvement our supply chain systems and processes along with supporting the business on these topics is an on-going cycle. - Job Summary. The IM Systems Support analyst is responsible for a complete understanding of the business process and technical systems that facilitate the process. Through this in depth understanding of the business and technical process they are accountable for providing support to the business in understanding root causes of inventory or supply chain related issues along with coaching them on best practices. Through the close relationship with the business and process they are expected to provide input in ways to improve the existing process or systems that support the process. Due to the complexity of this business, the recommended tenure for this position is 18 months. Job Requirements Responsibilities - Influence Design and Modification of System Framework. Provide feedback from the business on business issues and suggest ways to improve the processes through system enhancements. Works in conjunction with the Information Technology partners to ensure system framework addresses business requirements. Acts as liaison between IT and Business units to affect proper system changes, development and deliver current and/or future system requirements. - Corporate Project Management. Assist on corporate transition projects providing support on start to finish processes and strategies to achieve desired results. - Team Development and Training. Conducts training of Inventory Management associates on system functionality and business use. Also assists in documentation and preparation of training materials. - Communication. Relay information with considerable skill and consistency utilizing the ability to synthesize complex information into formats that the organization can understand, relate to and act upon. - Compliance. Support and maintain all SOX compliance requirements related to replenishment and purchase order management systems Skill/Experience Requirements - Technical. Associate must have a strong working knowledge of Inventory Management Systems principles, practices and methods. Associate must have a passion to continually seek out new knowledge from others and transfer that information to the organization. Must have deep working knowledge of INFOREM, DCPO, Store Ordering and/or Planning Systems. - Behavioral. Associate must embody personal behaviors consistent with SHC leadership principles. Incumbent must be viewed with respect, credibility and trust within Inventory Management and key executives across the organization. - Analytical Systems Knowledge. Associate must have the analytic and technical ability to understand complex business processes and the systems functionality, to successfully create and apply solutions to business needs. Associate must also be able to effectively translate these specific business and system concepts to various level of the organization. - Communications. Associate must excel at communicating complex issues in simple to understand yet actionable ways Associate must be able to define these to the organization in concise words/numbers/pictures). Associate must have a desire and the capacity to create change (as opposed to simply reacting and adapting to change initiated by others). - Financial Skills. Associate must have well-developed analytical and financial skills to ensure they comprehend the potential impact of systems updates/changes to the financial performance of the business and these are communicated to the organization in a clear concise manner. Associate must be able to comprehend the various components of the business to effect - Leadership. Associate must possess strong leadership, project management and interpersonal skills. Associate must also demonstrate a passion for the development and growth of subordinates. Minimum Education level required to perform job duties: Bachelors degree with minimum of 18 months Inventory Management Experience.
